Former Students Opinions

In two months I went from not being able to understand the immigration officer was asking me for five dollars to working in the countryside of Nicaragua where no one speaks any English except me. My homestay experience was excellent and the activities were always good (although I was never especially gifted at dance...). The program allowed me to learn not only Spanish, but also about Nicaraguan culture and life. My teacher was excellent and the other teachers were all interesting to talk with and excited to help students learn everything about Nicaragua, from food to politics, country life to culture. I was very pleased with everything and would recommend this program to anyone who wanted to learn Spanish and experience life in Nicaragua.

The school was great and the activities filled up the rest of my schedule. Absolutely guaranteed that you will come back with more Spanish. Almost nobody speaks English in Granada. The people in this country are some of the nicest that I have ever met.

I studied at the school in Granada for 3 weeks in February of 2008. It was a great experience for me. I studied during the day and hit the nightlife after hours in Granada. I progressed thru two levels of Spanish in three weeks. I feel like I gained a solid foundation in a very short amount of time. If you are serious about learning Spanish, I recommend this program.

My first language is not English. I was surprised at the progress that I could make with the great teachers at the school in learning Spanish, given the fact that they didn’t speak Dutch. The programming was excellent and the teachers we very patient with me.
