SOL Spanish school in Granada Nicaragua

Our main study program is “The Standard Spanish Program“. This is an intensive Spanish course that was designed to rapidly improve your Spanish skills by doing 20 hours of grammar instruction per week and 10 hours of afternoon activities where you will learn new vocabulary and to put in practice the grammar class. The programs also offers lodging with private room and 3 meals per day with a native Spanish speaking family. The families are very kind and friendly, and will provide you with friendship and support in your practice of Spanish while you are at home interacting with them only in “Español”.

In addition, we offer a program of  ”Spanish lessons only” for 20, 15, 10 hour blocks of lessons per week and an optional homestay. This kind of program is complemented with a flexible schedule mode, where you can select your favorite time for day for classes. We have mornings (8am – 12pm) and afternoons (1pm-7pm) available to complete your daily lessons.

SOL also offers our “Two-week Spanish Immersion Program” where you will not only learn and/or improve your Spanish, but wil also get the best of Nicaragua by studying in the oldest colonial city,  Granada and the vibrant capitol of our beautiful country of Nicaragua, Managua. You will study one week in each location and do a homestay at each as well (optional).

One of our specialties at SOL is that with any of our in-country Spanish programs, you can combine the Spanish lessons with short-term volunteering in micro-economic and human development programs, in close partnership with local organizations and under-served rural communities striving to become self-reliant. I studied at the school in Granada for 3 weeks in March of 2010.  It was a great experience for me, and more because I’m serious about doing Spanish document translations. I studied during the day and hit the nightlife after hours in Granada. I progressed thru two levels of Spanish in three weeks and I have spent much less money than if I had gone to one of the more popular locations to study like Spanish for example.  I feel like I gained a solid foundation in a very short amount of time.
